Rainy Weekend Activities

This weekend was rainy which is much appreciated in Phoenix and super appreciated by me. There is just something about an overcast day that makes it okay to wear your pjs till noon, bake cupcakes for no reason and cuddle under lots of blankets and watch awesome movies like Peter Pan, Despicable Me and Pride and Prejudice. Okay the last one..not so much loved by the boys, but I could watch it a million times over.

Friday night Milo had a sleepover with his best friend Max.
#1 on the agenda.... Volcano experiments.

Boys got their haircut.

Nothing says haircut preparedness like weaponry.

Finn went first.
He requested a Peter Pan haircut
So relaxed during the haircut, he ended up
falling asleep. I had to hold his head up
so that she could finish the cut.

He managed to stay awake throughout
the haircut, and walked out feeling like he
could take on the Force, single handed with
a lightsaber tied behind his back

Baking and cooking was on the agenda and both
boys wanted to wear aprons.

This has nothing to do with our weekend
But I love this picture.
We took probably 15 shots before this and
none of them were turning out.
We were all so posed and stiff
and well it was all so very awkward.
I suggested we just make crazy faces in an
effort to get the silly out of our system.
And lo and behold, this is my favorite of all
the shots. It is just so us! Aren't we fun?
