Fish, Fireworks, Fun!

The 3 day weekend was a hit. Rarely are 3 day weekends not fun. Who doesn't like to have an extra day off, a holiday with bright colored lights and family together. We made it a weekend of family togetherness and tried very hard to just relax instead of pack it all in. But of course we had to have some adventures. Just one expedition to the Aquarium. Milo was so very excited about the prospect of sharks, sting rays and jelly fish.

The moment we arrived, Finn wanted OUT of his stroller.
He wanted to be up close with his fish.
See how happy they make him.

Milo on the other hand finds the fish accentuate his
ensemble nicely. Please note he is wearing his
expedition hat.

This looks like brotherly love, doesn't it?
Really what it is, is that in order for Finn to get around
(since he still refuses to walk)
He had to skirt the walls or hold onto someone
or something. In this case, his brother.

Please look at the fish.

Finn and the Fish love
Actually those fish were really lovely.
This photo doesn't do them justice.

Inexplicably in the center of the aquarium
we found some white tiger cubs.
Milo loved them. I loved them, and if you
squint you can see them in the background
on the white sheets they were playing in.

Sharks!!
I really need say no more.
We stood for a while gazing.
Oh Sharks, we love you so!

The next day was the BBQ at Nana & Papa's house
Here is Milo with Aunt Sue and a giant hotdog.
Milo's 2nd hotdog of the day, as earlier in the day
he went with Mark to Ace Hardware where they
were handing out free hotdogs.
Milo was in heaven.
He still managed to eat this one too.

Milo watching the fireworks.
You can see one faintly in the background.
My camera just cannot capture how cool
a fireworks display truly is.

Gathered around the backyard watching the fireworks.
Mark, Finn, Ann, Vinnie and Cousin Ann.
Milo in the foreground is so sleepy he crashed
long before the finale.

Finn on the other hand pointed out them all
to his Dad. He loved the fireworks, the staying up
late, the oohs and ahhs from everyone.
He also loved that midway through Dad took off his
pjs and let him splash his feet in the pool.
Ahhh, Independence Day!
