Sharks, piranhas and things that bite

We went on vacation. This might come as a surprise to you, since I hadn't mentioned this before. But we did in fact journey as the Family Sheridan to the great state of California. We stayed with Aunt Maura, Uncle Eric and their puppies Ollie and Frankie. We went to Sea World with the primary focus on seeing some sharks. Milo's new favorite shark is in fact the Whale Shark. Sea World does not currently house one of those, but we did look, just in case. We also spent some time at Uncle Eric's school in the pool. Uncle Eric was able to teach Milo to swim to the bottom of the pool, nearly 7' deep!! We took the dogs to the dog park and watched Ollie and Frankie play tether ball, and Ollie enjoy the slides. These puppies are just the most amazing in all the world. Most importantly though, we spent time with our family, and that was hands down the best part of the whole trip.

Milo in front of the piranhas
We had many discussions about these fish and their
ability to eat large animals very quickly.
Needless to say this was our second stop after Sharks

Finn on the other hand was a bit freaked
out by the piranhas.

The arctic section was amazing.
There are polar bears, seals, penguins and beluga whales.
It was difficult for us to see them from above ground
So we went to see them in the underwater tank.

Finn loved the Beluga Whale.
I could barely rip him away from the glass.

Did you see that?

Leaping Dolphins!

It has been such a long day...
Milo fell asleep on Mark's shoulders

Finn fascinated by the table conversation

And this is why Sea World is awesome!
Two boys passed out cold by the time we got home.

A very serious Milo the following morning.
You will note his entourage from left to right...
Spiney, Susan, Horsey, Mr SawShark and Dr Dinosaur PhD

Finn has amassed all the water polo balls he can.
Also one tennis ball for good measure

Okay I wanted a picture of the boys with Maura and Eric.
But Finn was in a mood, and Milo just looks surprised.
I prefer to see this photo as...
I just announced that we had to go, Milo didn't want to go,
Finn was upset with the news, and Maura and Eric were
ecstatic to hear their house would once again be theirs
and their coffee pots would at last be safe to roam
the house without fear of being broken by Milo.

Milo just asked me to take his photo before we left, and this is his pose.
Why so serious Milo?
Or do you just have some mischief tucked up your sleeve?
