Hellos and Goodbyes

Hello Again! I took a few weeks off just to enjoy the end of summer with my boys. Well the heat index still feels like summer, but we are at long last tying up our summer vacation in the traditional way... starting school. And not the daycare which we have been calling school. Milo is starting Pre-K this year. Complete with lunchbox, backpack, folders, crayons and a school supply list. Part of going to big school is of course saying goodbye to our "little school" where Finn still attends.

Friday was his last day at "little school" and to celebrate we brought popsicles to share with the class. It was also the last day of school for his best friend who is going to Kindergarden at another school. The goodbye was not only to our school but to our friends as well. Milo seems to be okay with this departure and excited about the new adventure. Still I took some photos of him on his last day.

Doesn't he just look so long and tall?

I have still been taking Finn to "little school" and I walk past the classroom that used to be Milo's and I have a tug of my heart strings. It seems unreal that my little boy is growing up so fast and that he is entering school. I am extremely happy that he is reaching this milestone because there are so many wonderful adventures in store for him. But sometimes, when he is sleeping or when he is just cuddling me while watching Spiderman on TV I remember this wee little 5 lbs 12 oz guy that lay in my arms not so very long ago and I marvel at the miracle that is his life.
