Standing Tall

Our weekend started off with great promise, hit a rough patch but ended up being very grand in a quiet sort of way. To begin, Mark's car battery died. Died absolutely and completely. While this would normally be an inconvenience, it became very intense only because it happened while on the way to see a movie for one of our very rare date nights. It all turned out okay, battery was replaced, we saw the movie and in the end Mark was able to enlist the help of Kevin and as a reward they went golfing Saturday afternoon. This left Milo, Finn and me with a lot of time on Saturday to just hang out and color as well as watch a few episodes of Scooby Doo and for Finn, mostly drool and giggle at the ceiling fan. It isn't very hard to entertain a 3 month old at all.

Scooby Doo has become a regular at our house. I feared at first that Scooby Doo would be a bit too scary for the 3 year old. Milo is not phased one bit by the zombies, monsters and weirdos that Scooby Doo runs across. I think what really attracts Milo is the fact that a giant dog can "save people," eats a lot and falls down even more. You know classic 3 year old humor.

In the world of Finn, we are making great leaps and bounds. Finn now will stand up if you hold his fingers. Well it isn't really independent standing, but he does do a very close approximation of standing and this thrills him to no end. Big smiles, lots of laughs abound after he has stood up. Of course he becomes so excited that he stamps his foot, thereby losing his stance and crumbles. But in true Sheridan form, he is almost always ready to get back up and do it again.
