What a whirlwind week. So many big happenings. Finn has a new tooth, that makes 5 total. He also has learned how to pull himself up to a standing position. He is still super wobbly on his legs though.
We had an appointment scheduled with a pediatric developmental physical therapist through Phoenix Childrens Hospital. She confirmed he is a bit weak in the leg muscle department as well as being extremely resistant to crawling on his hands and knees. He prefers a tummy scoot, for the record so did Milo. She gave me some exercises to do with him and some lovely handouts for reference and wants to see us back in 3 months. She demonstrated these exercises for me forcing Finn to get up off his tummy (such a lazy crawler, he is) and actually use his bum and his legs to move about.
Well let me clarify that Finn was having none of that business. He howled and screamed at her the whole time. Then as soon as she let go of him, he dropped to him tummy and scooted just as fast as he could over to me. He crawled up into my lap and shot her the most horrible smug look. She took him from my arms after a few minutes and tried it again. Again he screamed as if being eaten alive by snakes, and when she released him, same thing, he came right back to Mom for love and shelter. The third time, when she released him she tried to get him to switch to a sitting position, he turned around and hit her. Yup, this sweet innocent babe of mine swatted her right on the arm, then laughed and scooted right on back to Mom. Such a dramatic guy.
Mark worked very hard, with Milo's help of course, to harvest our citrus fruit. Here is a depiction of the fruit harvest which consists of lemons and tangerines. Let us know if you want some, you are more than welcome to take a bag or two. (Adorable cat - not included)
This week we inaugurated a new President, as you well know. We try to keep our children up to date and informed about the latest current events...
I am so glad to be home from Memphis. It was a productive work excursion, but it was cold and I missed my boys. I think they were pretty happy to see me when I got home. What do you think?
