Party Games

The Star Wars party approaches. Milo and I were recently talking about possible games he would like to play at his party. I threw out some idesa like; coloring, pin the ears on Yoda, light saber training. Milo went a different direction....

Me: So what other kinds of things would you like to play with your friends at your party?
Milo: Um, lightsabers Mom
Me: Okay, we have that covered? What do you think about coloring?
Milo: Only for sometimes.
Me: Okay, anything else you think your friends would like to do?
Milo: Yes let me think. Oh I know, fly in a spaceship.
Me: Yes that would be fun, but I don't think I can arrange that on such short notice
Milo: Yes Mommy. Lets get a Tie fighter for me and all my friend and you and Daddy can go in the back and I will fly you around and then we can eat some cake. Does that sound like a good plan?
Me: That is an excellent plan, but I am not sure where we would park it.

(We had a similar conversation last night at dinner where Milo and Mark discussed the finer points of what to do if we actually had our own spaceships to fly around instead of cars)

Milo: I know, at the airport
Me: Good idea (actually my idea during the dinner conversation, nice to know someone was listening to me) but I dont' think that would work buddy.
Milo: Why?
Me: Well we don't have enough car seats to get all your friends to the airport to ride in your Tie fighter.
Milo: Oh......(long pause) that's okay Mommy we can just color instead
